Overkill

So the collective I am apart of ‘Polydactyl Hearts” won the ‘Overkill’ award last week for our multimedia project ‘Hello Adventure.’ The image above is from some work im doing for the Kazoo! Festival happening here in Guelph. www.kazookazoo.ca -to check it out

The art show is actually two different bodies of work. Aside from LE CYC, I have put up all the airbrush work that i’ve being doing on the side for the past year. These are all done in ink and airbrush…. and colour, which was a nice change after 2 years of coffee and wine with LE CYC.

All the original images from LE CYC are up in order for the first time ever. It’s pretty incredible to look at 400 images you have done, but feel distant from them because of the passage of time.

Images Festival

Received some great news the other day. The multi-media collective I am apart of got a grant we applied for. Great news, and its the first OAC grant we have received. The grant goes toward the latest project that we are working on. The project (currently unnamed) involves meditations on transition. Unlike the past project ‘Le Cyc,’ which was more of a traditional epic narrative, this project is cut up into more manageable shorts.

The works coming along nicely and I have been having a lot of fun experimenting with crude modes of animation. The image here is from a short that is done in an animated painting.

Got a new Camera

I got a new camera a few days ago, it is the Nikon D5000. So far I am really impressed with it. You may notice i have updated most of the artwork with new photos. The work looks a bit better when you shooting in more than 2 megapix…

Updated the gallery section as well… NOW WITH CATS… what?!?!?!1
